The 7 Valleys region around the market town of Hesdin is the prettiest part of the
Pas De Calais. It is popular with British tourists and second-home owners. It’s
also a popular and traditional holiday destination for Dutch and Belgian families.
Hesdin, at the centre of the 7 Valleys region, has a wonderful charm, just over 1
hour away from the channel tunnel it has a lovely cobbled town square, with a small
but very helpful tourist centre, which offers much in the way of information for
the area, a beautiful church, and the river Canche which runs through the centre
of the town.
The town of Montreuil, a few miles further down the Canche valley retains its ancient
fortified ramparts and a very old-world charm
